App Store Images
FabFitFun - Product Design Intern
Summary:
Connecting to your members is one of the main principles of selling a product in the way that FabFitFun does. Without the personal aspect, customers have little reason to buy from your company rather than any other subscription box company. For this reason, the Product Managers at FabFitFun decided that a membership spotlight section should be included on the main "Get The Box" page (the main page upon which users buy the subscription).
My Role
Update app store images to increase downloads and usage of the application. App store images were updated to represent the current version of the application as well as the current season of the product.
Objective
Use older versions of the app store images as references and create new ones using Sketch.
Details
I had 2 main objectives while completing this task: Accuracy & Precision
1. Accuracy: I made sure that the final product was accurate by downloading the application on my phone and using design files that were used to design the application. A lot of the designs live in the application were created by engineers and did not have any formal designs associated with them. I ended up having to use an assortment of PNGs and Sketch files to create these images.
2. Precision: Precision is very important when uploading an application to the app store because if the images are not precise, users may have a hard time believing that it is a legitimate application that can help them. In order to ensure that it was precise, I manually ensured that all the navigation bars and other common elements were lined up. This required going back and forth between my Sketch file and exported PNG images to ensure that every common element was lined up and all the other elements were in their right place as well.
Outcome
Viewed and clicked on by 115,688 paying customers in the process of downloading the application.
